It’s Alive! ALIVE!! Welcome to S4

Hey Gang! Let’s go back to that wacky version of the Milky Way Galaxy in a future so distant it doesn’t have have a date!

As long as you can get your grubby little paws on a copy of the Cypher System Rulebook, you have everything provided by this website to update your characters from S3. If you’ve lost your character, forgotten them, or just feel like writing up something new, feel free. The best place to start would the the Character Creation page.

See you Space Cowboys!

Session 005: The Sorvinese Navchip

The party managed to sidestep gunships at the edge of the Sol System by dumping the graviton impeller power into the hyperdrive of the Luxoth’s Wing. They defeated Cryom Dehesh – though Dehesh escaped – and his thugs parading around as port authority agents at Coalsack Port Station on Redeera. They befriended the real Sub-Portmaster Zirr Warteth, and repaired the ship in record time. They made their way to Parlax in the Mindahi System to explore the wonders of the Port Maradin arcology.

The PCs are still looking for a ship named the Pride of Parlax to deliver a gift (a statue of the Dolmyranth goddess Arthima) to one Dr. Tarus Spek. Things got bogged down at Maradin while trying to discover the location of the Pride of Parlax. In their misadventures deep down inside the arcology, CHE3000 discovered the wonders of The Pith Hole, a galaxy-wide franchise of sleazy night/sex clubs that cater exclusively to archeology fetishist furries in pith helmets.

The Pride of Parlax was slated to land at Mindahi Prime but diverted course suddenly and made a hyperspace jump. If their source can be trusted, the ship is believed to be in or near the Sorvin Cluster, a tight star cluster with four inhabited systems under the theocratic dictatorial rule of a dolmyranth religious sect known as the Sorvin Collective.

The party is currently preparing to depart for the Sorvin Cluster.

Session 004: The Sorvinese Navchip

CHE3000 and Philo joined the party at Xanthe.

The PCs are approached, once again by the zaal antiquities dealer Gesh Harthon, to transport an ancient statuette of the dolmyranth goddess Arthima. It is intended as a gift for a human xenoarcheologist acquaintance of Harthon’s, one Dr. Tarus Spek. Spek’s last known location was on a small civilian freighter bound for the Mindahi System by way of another system in the Coalsack Nebula. Harthon wants the PCs to take one of his personal ships, a small hyperspace personnel transport named Luxoth’s Wing, to catch up with his associate and deliver the statuette at either of those ports. They haggled the price to 3000 Cr up front, 8000 Cr on return of an undamaged Luxoth’s Wing, and 4000 Cr on return of a slightly more used Luxoth’s Wing.

En route they have found the stripped and graffiti-covered wreckage of the Toreador 86-XX fought a nest of vacspiders that had taken it over and looted anything that was left, inadvertently setting it into a wild spin off into space. Currently, they are headed toward the edge of the Sol System, charging the hyperdrive for the jump to the Coalsack Nebula.

Session 003: Noctis City Blues

K’Daddio has assumed Gesh Harthon is behind stealing his (Larz Ventricule’s) cargo cache and that the party transported it back to him in Noctis City Blues. The players went to the ruins of Aquaria Playland, but did not directly confront the Concierge. Other secrets may lie hidden there as well.

K’Daddio was pickpocketed at Fezenkov by a gobban with pitch black skin and a white tat on her scalp and down her neck.

Two parties boarded Aquaria in the last two months, one seems to be a solitary zaal that went straight to the Concierge. The other was a party of two humans, two gobbans, and a dolmyranth that brought in one large case and left with it.

The party is currently in Xanthe on the Chryse Coast.

Session 002: Noctis City Blues

The party has completed the cargo retrieval job for Gesh Harthon though did not find the geonavchip leading to the Toreador cache. They have returned to Noctis. Harthon hints that he may have more work for the party. This job will get the characters off-planet. Harthon has a ship they can use but it’s undergoing repairs and will not be available for several days. Duc has taken possession of Kee’At No’Saktee’s (slilan male gang leader) flak vest.

Session 001: Noctis City Blues

The party has taken the cargo retrieval job from Gesh Harthon, been paid the 200 Cr retainer, and is currently at a skytruck wreck on the Arsai Desert. They’ve killed a pack of dune dogs there and just met by Ken Benobi who has told them about the wreck and enthralled Cyrus with the Suggest psionic power. He is suggesting the party come in and keep him company and will attempt to enthrall others as the encounter continues.

About Noctis City

Population: ~5500, mostly human.
Primary Industry: wheat & cotton farming, chicken, sheep, & beefalo ranching.
Other Notes: Small air & space port on the outskirts that private flights can be chartered.

End of the line for a maglev train station. A human (Berg Messing) and two synthetics (55-05 and B0N3S) run the station along with a small army of robot porters. Mostly cargo trains but there’s a passenger train that shows up every 5 days or so. Connections can be made through the crater city of Fesenkov to the north for other parts of the planet. Fare is 10Cr to Fesenkov.
Downtown is usually bustling around a spacious circular central square. The square has an aging statue of Valentine Smith, leader of the first colonial expedition to Mars. The statue is atop a fountain. That’s where all of the main activity and businesses are located in town. The whole settlement is laid out something like a wagon wheel from the square. Outside the square is primarily residential neighborhoods thinning into farms and ranches.

Points of Interest
Club Durga, “upscale” clientele. Mostly farm and ranch owners, Gesh Harthon, and F8. Bartenders paternal twins Chel & Aron, and their barback robot Chum.
Granger’s Tack, Feed, & Sundries run by a single proprietor, Theos Granger. His staff is entirely robotic.
Hermant Armaments sells guns and ammo, the prices run considerably higher than average. Proprietor: Hanz Hermant.
Surrounding farms and ranches spread out among the waterways of the Noctis Labyrinth which flows into the Marineris Sea.
